Completed Girls Basketball Spread .
For the past two weeks , we have been working on a practice spread for the yearbook. We were assigned to design a spread for the Sr. and Jr. Girls Basketball teams. There we many 'guidelines' we were supposed to follow. We were supposed to include : A Dominant Photo , drop shadow, proportional photos and sized properly, 7 or more different photos in different sizes, the Oval concept followed, , internal margins of 1 pica between items, Captions for each photo, body copy of 2-3 parahraphs 10 pt. Times New Roman, an exciting heading , credits given for photos , and all images had to be converted to CMYK, and saved to our yearbook folders. After printing them out on the color printer, We were supposed to save them as .jpg . I like my finish product, although it's not completely following the 'guidelines'. I can't wait until we get to create our own spreads , and get to add more creativity to it. I like bright colors, large text and lots of other original things.
Well , there you have it .

Another week in Yearbook ...
This week in Yearbook class we continued working on our Girls Basketball Spread. We learned how to put text and title's in our designs, and we also discovered how to create layers. Layer's help to organize your work, and make it easier to work with. My spread has examples of Feather and Drop shadow, Stroke around pictures, Gradient background and effective use of captions. It also includes a Rule line and the photo credits. I am not quite finished with my design, but it's comming together very nicely. Today we had a test to do , which wasn't all that hard.

First week in Yearbook ...
This week was the first week in Yearbook class. So far this class has been relatively fun , expect that we haven't really done much yet. The very first day, we received our course outline, and a handout on how to make a photo mosaic in Adobe InDesign. We went through each steps and created multiple boxes, all the same size. Then we rotated and distorted some of them. After that we placed a photo over it to finish the mosaic. Other than that, we haven't done much. Yesterday , the computer network was slow and not working properly, so everyone got to play Tetris. Today, on Friday, we started to design our own Girls Basketball spread. We are supposed to find at least 10 photo's we like, convert them to CMYK mode and re size them to 300 dpi. After that we're supposed to place our dominant photo in our spread design and save it.
